CD Projekt removes consequences for punching Cyberpunk 2077’s most punchable character in the face-

When a videogame lets me dramatically punch someone in the middle of a conversation, it takes a lot of restraint to resist the urge. The opportunity arises a couple of times in Cyberpunk 2077, and nobody is more deserving than Fingers, Night City’s scummiest ripperdoc, who V encounters during the main story.

Despite his extremely punchable face, for years it was actually a better idea to play nice with Fingers. Cleaning his clock meant locking him out as a vendor, which sucked if you wanted to nab his unique stock of legendary cyberware. Luckily, Cyberpunk’s recent 2.0 update changes things.

As noted by several Reddit users (and shared by GamesRadar), you’re now free and clear to punch out Fingers with zero consequences: all ripperdocs carry the same stock as of update…

Intel’s next gen Battlemage GPUs are up and running in its labs, and work on its next-next generation Celestial architecture is well underway-

After the less than perfect launch of Intel’s first generation Arc Alchemist graphics cards, work on the second generation Xe2 Battlemage architecture appears to be coming along nicely. That’s according to comments made during an interview at CES 2024 by Tom Petersen, a current Intel Fellow.

The interview was conducted by PC World. Petersen revealed that Battlemage is up and running in Intel’s labs, with development shifting to the software side of things. The hardware team has already shifted its focus to the third generation Celestial architecture.

In a quote from the PC World interview, Petersen says: “It’s coming, I am excited about it, and all our engineers, you know how they are constantly doing their engineering things. I’d say about 30% of our engineers are working o…

Latest patch for The Last of Us fixes more crashes, lets you rebind the arrow keys-

Players who were excited to finally experience 2013’s The Last of Us on PC have been less excited by the fact they have to experience what PC ports were like in 2013 to do so. (I’m looking at you, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West.) But Naughty Dog’s efforts to patch its wayward child have resulted in some improvements, with previous patches fixing camera jitter when using a mouse as well as unexpected character moistness in cutscenes.

The latest patch brings The Last of Us Part 1 up to v1.0.3.0 and deals with various issues, like adding audio compatibility options to help those who find the music or dialogue in cutscenes too quiet or are hearing “pops, clicks, or distorted sound”, and letting you reassign the arrow keys at long last.

That’s a bigger deal than it might sound to …

Let me show you how to grab an RTX 4070 Black Friday gaming PC for less than $1,000 right now-

There are some genuinely good Black Friday gaming PC deals out there right now, especially when you’re looking at machines under $1,000. But while you will find RTX 4060 and even RTX 4060 Ti PCs for less than a grand, there isn’t a retailer in the land that is going to sell you an RTX 4070 system for that sort of cash.

But you can make them.

It does require two separate purchases—this GPU-less Ipason PC for $469, and this Zotac RTX 4070 for $520, both from Newegg—but in a world where gaming PC builders are starting to ship graphics cards separately in the name of sparing the straining PCIe slots, I think it’s a step worth taking. Especially as it means you can get an RTX 4070 machine for just $989 when the cheapest we’ve found so far is at least $200 mor…
